In recent years, Jürgen Vigné has left his personal culinary signature on the Pfefferschiff (1 star Guide Michelin, 2 toques Guide Gault Millau, 4 stars Guide A la Carte, 4 forks Guide Falstaff, “Shooting Star of the Year 2015”) and takes his rightful place amongst the elite of the Austrian gourmet scene.

His credo: unforgettable taste experiences without gimmickry. The foundation for the dishes he creates with a Francophile influence comes above all from seasonal, regionally sourced products.

Iris Vigné – “Sommelière of the Year 2011” – makes her own distinctive contributions: from a cellar stocked with over  600 different wines, she is always able to find an exquisite vintage, also by the glass, that provides a harmonious dialogue and perfect finishing touch to the dining experience as a whole.

Homemade chutneys, jellies and honey are served with a wide selection of cheeses from Austria, Switzerland and France. Yet another insider tip:  homemade venison bratwurst with their own in-house mustard, also available for purchase to enjoy at home.
